Draw the Lines

You are the legislature. Twenty-five voters, five districts, and the lines are yours. Draw the map twice — once for yourself, once for the other side — and watch the same voters elect two different winners.

ROUND 1 · YOU DRAW

The majority draws to win 4–1

The drawer's table activity, adapted: "The majority draws a map on the wall to win 4-1 with 60% of the vote." You are the Squares — 15 of 25 voters. Paint five districts of five, each one contiguous, then hold the election.

GAME SIMPLIFICATION The voter grid is a game simplification — 25 voters here, 50 on the drawer's wall. The Squares and Circles are invented parties standing in for the drawer's blue and red.
